What shipped.

Every release on the verification rails — new checks, faster decisions, fewer steps for applicants.

New

Partner API: borrower access without SMS, plus an Airtable integration

A new partner endpoint mints borrower access links that skip SMS login entirely — partners drop applicants straight into a session. The lender portal’s loan-product graph view now supports freeform editing with connection rules, and a new Airtable integration shares records.

Improved

Realtime lender portal (v6.2)

The loan application list now updates in realtime over GraphQL subscriptions, including step sub-statuses, and resyncs itself after a dropped connection. One shared two-factor experience across the lender portal and admin, and the applicant flow now follows the selected language end to end.

New

Lead capture, webhook delivery API, and one-scan reverification

A lead-capture flow now runs across the API, applicant flow, and lender portal. Outbound webhooks gained a delivery API with full audit and replay. Returning applicants can reverify with a face scan alone, reusing their prior documents.

  • Redesigned portal login and applications pages with a new filter bar
  • Loan-application status alert emails
  • Accessibility: focus jumps to the first missing field, and screen readers announce how many remain
New

Developer Portal API buildout (v5.4)

The API grew to cover the full application: KYB, KYC and self-declaration endpoints, file and bureau-data retrieval with presigned URLs, and interactive API docs with live chat support. A new alternative bureau-data step (CreditBook) lands in the flow, exports, and webhooks.

New

The Carousel API: Developer Portal initial release

Applicant verification no longer ends at a dashboard. The first release of the Developer Portal puts Carousel’s rails behind an API — build applications, receive results, and wire Carousel into your own stack.

New

Application PDF export and tenancy links

Full application details now export as a PDF. A new tenancy link generator creates shareable application links for rental workflows, and workflows can now be edited in place.

New

The applicant flow speaks French

Full French translation across the applicant experience, refined over the following releases. Legal checks via Openroom and SOQUIJ hardened, and the lender portal became fully responsive on mobile.

Improved

Portal review, rebuilt

Application sharing by email across the applicant flow, portal, and shared pages. Step summaries now explain each verification with a visual. Financial verification and credit views rebuilt, TransUnion US added as a provider, and a new self-declaration step and overview tab round out the file.

Improved

Realtime instead of refresh

Long polling replaced with pub-sub GraphQL across the portal. Applicants can share their application by email, and the applicant payment step works cleanly inside multi-bank workflows.

New

Court and tribunal records: Openroom and SOQUIJ

Legal checks gained two providers — Openroom and SOQUIJ — bringing court and tribunal records into the same flow. The applicant payment experience was rebuilt, with refunds and disputes visible in administration.

New

Applicant payments with Stripe

A new applicant payment step, powered by Stripe, collects screening and verification fees inside the application. A Remind Applicant button nudges stalled files without leaving the portal.

New

Peer-to-peer application sharing (v4.39)

Applicants and operators can share completed applications directly with other parties — the applicant chooses the recipients, the recipient sees the full profile, and distribution stops being a bottleneck.

Improved

Enhanced tradelines (v4.38)

The tradelines view presents credit data in a clear, standardized format: a structured overview of each account, full summaries with balances and payment history, and readable narratives that translate bureau codes into plain language.

New

Applicant payments in the flow (v4.37)

Applicant-paid workflows support payments directly inside the application — fully managed within Carousel, reconciled automatically against the application, and built for real screening and verification fees.

New

Tenancy dashboards (v4.36)

A dedicated tenancy dashboard with purpose-built tenant KPIs — income consistency, rent affordability — and structured applicant profiles combining identity, financials, credit, and legal checks into one view.

New

Full credit coverage: TransUnion joins Equifax (v4.35)

TransUnion credit reports integrated directly into the application flow. Dual-bureau coverage means broader visibility and flexible bureau selection, without the applicant ever leaving the workflow.

New

Court eviction searches (v4.34)

Court and legal record checks, powered by Openroom and SOQUIJ, integrated directly into the application flow — no external tools, no redirects, combined with the existing verification layers.

New

Canadian criminal background checks (v4.33)

Criminal background checks built into the onboarding flow, alongside a redesigned application management page, cleaner financial insights, a revamped e-signature experience with document preview, and a unified settings page.

2025
New

Multi-bank connectivity (v4.32)

Multiple bank connections in a single flow: connect and verify several institutions at once, aggregate balances and transactions across accounts, and run automated fraud checks across all of them — fully logged and encrypted.

New

Automatic redirect (v4.31)

Configure a custom URL that receives applicants the moment they complete an application — clear next steps for the applicant, no manual coordination for the business.

New

Apply instantly, or apply manually (v4.3)

Two onboarding paths: Apply Instantly uses secure open banking for immediate identity and income verification; Apply Manually allows self-directed entry and document uploads. Both stay secure, compliant, and mobile-first.
